$5500.00/vehicle - (incl. GST) per vehicle – 2 people (Price TBC) (Additional costs for extra adults or children and/or for a Cottage or Motel rooms as noted below). 

NOTE: Heavy Duty Off Road Camper Trailers can be taken on this Tag along Tour only - subject to approval.

Basic to Moderate 4WDriving - Unsealed Roads, Rocky and soft Sandy terrains

Driver Experience

Some prior 4WD experience in sand & rocks would be useful and we will help you along the way and/or perhaps you’d like to attend one of our Driver Training Courses prior to the trip.

Bush camps - (Cabins or Motel rooms at Alice Springs, are an option for an additional cost).

Maralinga fees, all Camping fees, Permits/Parks Passes and our 'End of Tour' dinner and drinks at Alice Springs are included.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 (Four) vehicles required to run the tours.

All our 4WD Tag along Tours are Eco-Accredited and we are a Licensed Tour Operator with 'Advanced Ecotourism', 'EcoStar' & 'ROC' Accreditations.

Day 1 - 3

We leave Ceduna and head north to the Maralinga site to learn all about the history and the work that went on there, as part of the British Atomic program. From there we head further north to Emu Field to visit the 2 Totems at 'Ground Zero'.

Day 4 - 21

We head west along the Anne Beadell Highway to Neale Junction and then turn noorth on the Connie Sue Highway to Jackie Junction. From there we head west past Mt Beadell to Everard Junction before turning north again along the Gary Highway. Passing Windy Corner we follow the Gary Highway to it's end, before traversing part of the Callawa Track visiting Well 33 on the CSR and then on to Kunawarritiji to get fuel. Leaving there we head eastwards along the entire length of the Gary Junction Road to intersect the Tanami Road as we make our way into Alice Springs.

Day 22

We have a rest day in Alice Springs before we enjoy an 'End of Tour' Dinner at the Alice Springs Brewery.

After our rest day in Alice Springs, those not heading back with us, can take their time heading home or on to the next leg of their journey.

Notes:

1. To take advantage of the full 22 days, it is requested that you are packed, fuelled and ready to go on the Monday morning from Ceduna please.

2. A minimum of 4 vehicles is required to run this tour.

3. Tour price covers: Maralinga fees, all Camping fees, National Park Permits/Parks Passes and Alice Springs meals & drinks are included.

4. All vehicles to have front Rated Recovery Points fitted (if possible) for your vehicle. NOTE: They are not made for all vehicle models, but we'll help you with this where we can.

5. All vehicles to have at least 50% tread on All Terrain tyres on your vehicle.

6. Fuel is available at Ilkurlka Roadhouse and Kunawarritji. Fuel is also available on the Gary Junction - Papunya, Walungurru (Kintore), Mt Liebig and Kiwirrkurra.

7. All vehicles to carry some firewood (if possible), as it is scarce at the various campsites.
